Cruz

"Cruz" is a well-known family of "Puente del Arzobispo" in the province of Toledo, in central Spain. For many generations this family has made pottery. The whole family works, brothers, brothers-in-law and children. Older brother "Emilio" is the director, but his father and mother still lend a hand in making and painting pottery.

Men make pottery and ladies paint it. You will see a very particular style, it is known as the "puntilla" style. Everything is painted with fine brushes, with a great intensity of designs and colors. It takes a long time to make a piece, as you can imagine.
